WHO WE ARE
Our work is vital for improving the lives of vulnerable communities by addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, and empowering them to achieve self-reliance and equality.
Established in 1994, the Society for People Education and Economic Development (SPEED) works to uplift marginalized, vulnerable, and disadvantaged communities in the Kurinjipadi Block of Cuddalore District. The organization focuses on empowering women and rural populations by promoting social, economic, and political equality through campaigns, vocational training, and entrepreneurship. We are dedicated to freeing children from exploitation, supporting their education, and ensuring their protection. It also strives to alleviate poverty, enhance living conditions, and provide sustainable livelihoods for families dependent on agriculture. By advocating for the rights of marginalized groups, we aims to build a society free from violence, inequality, and exploitation. The organization also works towards creating a healthier environment and cultivating responsible citizenship, helping communities take charge of their own development.
